Solidarity Event on May 22 in Helsinki
On Thursday, May 22, from 6 PM to 8 PM, three associations will present their work and explain how you can get involved at Rauhanasema (Veturitori 3). Come join us for discussion, brainstorming, and networking! The main language of the event is Finnish.
The event is informal, and coffee and light snacks will be served.
Finland is closing borders and reception centres. The govermment attracs the rights of those seeking international protection and other migrants. Are you wondering how you can make a difference and what you can do to support them? Right now, solidarity is more important than ever!
Fortunately, there are many organizations that support those who have sought international protection as well as other migrants – and you can take part in this too.
WELCOME!

Organized by: Kotimajoituksen tuki (Support for Home Accommodation), Turvapaikanhakijoiden tuki (Support for Asylum Seekers), and Vapaa Liikkuvuus (Free Movement).
Kotimajoituksen tuki promotes home accommodation for people who have sought international protection in Finland and supports the volunteer-based Home Accommodation Network.
Turvapaikanhakijoiden tuki (Tutu) works to advance the rights of those who have come to Finland as asylum seekers and other migrants in vulnerable positions. The association provides a wide range of support for migrants and aims to build a more just society by influencing how asylum-related issues are handled.
Vapaa Liikkuvuus (Free Movement) is a network of migrant activists. The network’s activities take place in various groups, advisory services, and a café. We support the general freedom of movement and the realization of fundamental rights for all people, regardless of their status or background.
